About Us

Donate and Help Foundation (DHF) is led by Young Women Living with HIV. Our foundation focuses on promoting social, educational, economic, and political development for these young women, particularly along the Lake Tanganyika Corridor. We work in line with Tanzania's national targets and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure gender equality, economic empowerment, and improved healthcare access for young women.

Our Vision

We envision a future where all Young Women Living with HIV are self-sustaining, respected, and empowered within their communities. Our programs ensure these women are viewed equally in civil, political, economic, social, and cultural aspects of life.

Our Mission

Our mission is to advocate for young women's rights, eliminate discrimination and gender-based violence, and advance their leadership and decision-making capacities. By amplifying their voices in communities, we strive to ensure their active participation in decisions affecting their lives.

Objectives

  • Creating employment opportunities for young women living with HIV
  • Advancing leadership and participation in decision-making
  • Improving access to healthcare and promoting well-being
  • Building sustainable institutions and support systems
  • Promoting learning opportunities to realize full potential

Impact and Operations

Currently operating in Mpanda district along Lake Tanganyika and in Tabora, DHF runs Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programs funded by the African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) and an Education for All Girls Program. We are committed to expanding our reach and impact to ensure every young woman living with HIV is empowered and supported.
